Integration Quality Assurance Tester

MQSoftware is looking for experienced consultants to test enterprise service bus applications.  Responsibilities will include developing test harnesses for testing ESB components, creating integration test plans, and executing load and performance tests against integration message flows for the development of quality ESB services for our Fortune 500 level clients.  Consultant will facilitate the quality assurance process by leading meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, managing testing issue resolution using Rational ClearQuest, and maintaining the defect tracking repository.  MQSoftware develops and sells software in the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) and middleware markets based around the IBM WebSphere family of products. 

The candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years testing integration applications using quality assurance methodologies
  • Lead testers must have 4-5 years of testing experience
  • Skilled in functional, integration, load, and performance testing of ESB components
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of WMB and WMQ
  • 2 years experience working with middleware environments
  • Solid understanding of middleware concepts and ESB components, technical and functional testing approaches with solid experience in developing test harnesses and writing test cases
  • Java programming background or other programming experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple platforms and databases (DB2/Oracle/SQL Server)
  • Familiar with XML (other data structures would be considered)
  • Experience with Windows, Solaris and z/OS platforms
  • Experience with Rational ClearQuest
  • Familiarity with Rational ClearCase
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal

Education Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Travel required: Up to 50% depending on location
