Smooth Start
File transfer is a critical component in many organizations. Do you know if your files are actually getting transferred? What happens when you have a network failure during a large transmission? Do you have central control of file transfer including scheduling and reporting? DataFlow Studio can solve address those issues with minimal impact on your underlying infrastructure, while MQSoftware Consultants can make this happen quickly and painlessly.
Smooth Start deliverables:
- DataFlow Studio servers and clients will be installed on appropriate systems in your environment including all DataFlow Studio supported platforms.
- Underlying WebSphere infrastructure (if any) will be configured to support DataFlow Studio.
- Connectivity will be established between all DataFlow Studio systems.
- File transfer scheduling and tracking will be implemented according to your requirements.
- File transfer and other DataFlow Studio functions will be tested and certified.
Smooth Start prerequisites:
- DataFlow Studio software purchased and available.
- Systems with the appropriate hardware and software resources for DataFlow Studio. If you have questions, contact MQSoftware Support or your Sales Representative.
- Systems have basic TCP or WebSphere MQ network connectivity.
- System Administrators for each of the systems available to provide administrative level logins.
- Future DataFlow Studio administrators are available for knowledge transfer.
Duration: +3 days depending upon the number of systems to be configured.
A rough formula is:
2 Days for groundwork - Service installation and configuration, knowledge transfer, policy establishment, etc.
½ Day for each distributed DFS system – Windows, Unix, etc.
1 Day for each mainframe DFS system
