MQSoftware has achieved great success in partnering to create virtual businesses providing the complete solutions our customers require. We believe very strongly successful partnerships are built similarly to new businesses. The impetus for a viable partnership includes a market opportunity, a joint product or service which matches that opportunity, and a strategy to market, sell, and service the joint offering.
The MQSoftware Solutions Provider Program is built upon this model, and includes programs and activities centered around three key business components: sales, marketing, and technology. Become a partner today!
Partner Sales Programs
In any business, the real determinant of the success or failure of a partnership occurs in the field. The virtual business created by partners must result in real revenues for both parties or it will not be successful. For this reason, one of the key differentiators within the MQSoftware Solutions Provider Program and other software company partner programs is the degree of emphasis and resources devoted to joint selling.
Joint selling is built into the partner management process and is driven by the MQSoftware partner manager who becomes an evangelist for the Partner within MQSoftware. All MQSoftware Solutions Provider Partners are encouraged to begin developing relationships with MQSoftware sales executives, sales management, sales engineers, and MQSoftware consultants. These MQSoftware personnel are committed to supporting Partners.
Partner Marketing Program
MQSoftware subscribes to the fundamental belief that only a balanced mix of technical, sales, and marketing activities will increase a product’s overall chance for success. Therefore, in addition to the MQSoftware’s technical and sales programs, MQSoftware Solution Provider Partners are also eligible to participate in a variety of global marketing and demand generation programs with MQSoftware. These marketing programs include: brand awareness via the MQSoftware Solutions Provider Partner logo; customer-ready communications via the MQSoftware Partner Website; technical updates; co-marketing at targeted industry trade shows; sponsorship of key events; advertising, marketing collateral, and media relations campaigns focused on customer and Partner success stories.
Partners with an established Market Development Fund work with their partner manager to develop a Partner Account Plan for the partnership. Part of this Partner Account Plan is a detailed plan for engaging MQSoftware sales, marketing and services organizations, building the necessary relationships between them, and measuring the results. The MQSoftware partner manager serves as the Partner’s internal evangelist at MQSoftware, working with the Partner to establish systems for joint pipeline reviews, targeting of accounts, and other activities designed to drive joint sales as appropriate. As the Partner plan warrants, specific initiatives such as teaming to develop vertical market products or other target market projects, may be developed.
Partner Technical Programs
MQSoftware and its partners offer some of the most technically sophisticated products in the market today, and virtual businesses built around these products must include programs to establish and maintain a high level of technical expertise. These programs include technical training on the use, operation, and customization of MQSoftware technologies, special partner licensing programs for MQSoftware products, and technical support services. Additional technical programs and opportunities to collaborate are constantly being developed, and up to date information about these new programs is always available on the secured Partner Website.
Program Management
In our efforts to make partner communications as efficient and responsive as possible, MQSoftware and the Partner will each designate a partner manager. Partner managers have the primary responsibility for ensuring the companies meet their agreed-upon business objectives in revenue, product delivery, and market share. In order to accomplish this, partner managers will:
- Manage all daily activities related to the partnership
- Be responsible for revenue generation
- Review the joint pipeline and manager formal forecasts
- Manage the Market Development Fund (MDF)
- Manage technology sharing
- Manage the definition, execution, and measurement of marketing programs
- Ensure the successful customer deployments of joint implementations
- Prepare and present quarterly written progress reports
Joint Partner Account Plan
The partner managers will work together to develop and obtain approval for a joint Partner Account Plan for the first year of the partnership. The account plan establishes joint goals and objectives for the year with detailed strategies and tactics for reaching those objectives, including joint sales, technical, and marketing activities.
Sales Knowledge Transfer Webinars
Both sales team will participate on joint Webinars to gain an understanding of each other’s offerings and position in the market. The partner managers will work together to develop the joint presentation and identify the appropriate resources to present. MQSoftware’s partner manager will coordinate the Webinars setup and delivery.
Product Knowledge Transfer
MQSoftware recognizes the most efficient way to learn new a technology is through education and hands-on experience. MQSoftware will provide its partners with a fully functioning, limited use license to each of the MQSoftware technologies. Training, installation and configuration, as well as knowledge transfer and mentoring will be provided to the partner. Additionally, our pre-sales systems engineers will work with the partner to set up a product demonstration environment.
Market Development Fund
At the initial formation of a partnership, both parties will determine the value of establishing a Market Development Fund (MDF). The purpose of the MDF is exclusively to fund marketing programs, which benefit both parties and offer a greater return on marketing investment over that which each company could achieve on its own. If a MDF is mutually agreed upon, MQSoftware partners must commit to invest a minimum of 3% of the target quota over each 12-month period of the partnership. MQSoftware will contribute 3% of net license revenue toward the MDF. Rather than setting up an escrow account for the fund into which both parties deposit into, the partner managers agree on joint funding on a program-by-program basis and settle any outstanding payments on a quarterly basis.
MQSoftware’s partners may meet their annual MDF commitments through a variety of joint marketing activities, including lead generation activities such as email and direct mail campaigns, Webinars, tradeshows, advertising, and media relations.
