MQS1182: WebSphere Application Server: Default Messaging Provider and JMS Programming
Overview:
This MQSoftware 5-day training course covers system administration of the Default Messaging Provider of WebSphere Application Server version 6, and Java application programming using JMS - Java Message Service. This course will provide students with the critical skills necessary to thoroughly understand the administration of Service Integration Buses, messaging engines, queues, topic spaces and topics on WebSphere Application Server version 6. It covers the administration of JMS resources necessary to integrate these objects with Java application programs using JMS. The course also covers the configuration of intercommunication links between WebSphere MQ networks and WebSphere Application Server networks.
The programming portion of the course is designed to provide students with the skills needed to design and write applications that use the Java Message Service. Students will learn how to use both the point-to-point and publish/subscribe messaging models. All the major functions of JMS will be covered and lab exercises using Rational Application Developer will provide the opportunity to develop applications that use these functions. The programming interface will detail all messaging styles and key features of the JMS standard. The course uses extensive hands-on exercises to reinforce the tutorial information, both in the system administration portion and the application programming portion, thus allowing the student to fully explore and gain real-world experience with Message Oriented Middleware applications using the Default Messaging Provider of WebSphere Application Server.
