MQS1186: WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus
Overview:
Applications developed within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) expose only their data structures and protocols to the outside world. In order for two such services to communicate, they must agree on these two items. Where such agreement is not possible, it is necessary to develop a Mediation Service to communicate with the services on both ends. WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB) provides a development and hosting framework for these Mediation Services. This course will provide students with the critical skills necessary to thoroughly understand and effectively use IBM’s WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, including the design of applications, the development of mediation flows using WebSphere Integration Developer (WID), the deployment of mediation modules, and the monitoring of mediations using IBM’s Common Event Infrastructure (CEI).
This is an advanced course designed to provide students with detailed technical knowledge of the product. Correspondingly, students are expected to understand the fundamentals of J2EE application server architectures. More specifically, students should have a good grasp of the WebSphere Default Messaging Provider and JMS programming at the level of MQSoftware’s WebSphere Application Server Default Messaging (MQS1182) course. (Note: This is not a course on programming Java mediations for deployment in WebSphere Application Server’s default messaging bus. Students interested in learning about WebSphere Application Server mediations are advised to take MQSoftware’s MQS1184 course.) The course uses extensive hands-on exercises to reinforce the tutorial information, allowing the student to fully explore and gain real-world experience with Message Oriented Middleware applications using the WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus.
Who Should Take This Course:
J2EE Architects, Enterprise Integration Architects, and Administrators responsible for the development, implementation or integration of messaging applications or web services.
Topics Include:
