MQS1192: WebSphere Application Server Administrator's Boot Camp

Overview:

This course prepares students to administer their Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) application environments using WebSphere Application Server (WAS) version 6.1. Students will install, configure, manage and troubleshoot using WAS tools and features. Designed to quickly maximize administration skills, this training provides hands-on labs that will get students up to speed with the most recent capabilities.

The course uses extensive hands-on exercises to reinforce all portions of the tutorial information.

Administrators responsible for the implementation and management of a WebSphere Application Server environment.

Prerequisites:

Public Classes are taught on Windows XP using the latest versions of WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, DB2, and Rational Application Developer. This course has no formal prerequisites, but fundamental knowledge of Systems Administration is assumed. Prior reading on and basic experience with Java and Java Enterprise Edition concepts is highly beneficial and strongly recommended to encourage discussion.
